Two mounts I trust enough to point my own Thumbtack customers to before I show up — one for a standard TV, one for anything over 65″. Buy your own ahead of the visit and there's no bracket charge added to the install.

Before you buy

  • Check your VESA pattern first

    Look on the back of the TV, or in the manual, for four mounting holes in a rectangle — the millimeter spacing between them (like 400×400) has to fall inside the mount's listed range.

  • Weight rating isn't just the TV

    Leave headroom above your TV's listed weight. A mount rated right at the TV's spec, with no margin, is the wrong mount.

  • 85″ and up needs a different approach

    At that size and weight, I install solo using purpose-built lifting equipment rather than the two-to-three-person crew this size normally requires — the mount itself just needs to be rated for it.
